This is the first trip I went with my future in law. This was Spring 2015. We stayed in Airbnb owned by Yuya. This was my first experience with Airbnb. The house was decent unfortunately I do not have the picture here with me

What I can say about this trip is that if you don't do your homework
before hand you will end up struggling to communicate with Japanese as
most of them do not speak English. I literally had to revise and memorize Hiragana, Katakana, and some of the Chinese words to be able to identify Train stops. As you gets out from Tokyo there will be less English sign. I was literally identifying Hiragana character to guess which station were we when we heads towards Mount Fuji. We almost got into conflict in Metro station because the train stations that we wish to go were not in the map. We were fortunate there were university student who could translate them to us.

In Japan, I constantly avoid appearing rude. I understand that Chinese had a bad rap in Japan, and us being Malaysian Chinese doesn't help either. We are nevertheless tourist. While in Kawakuchi Lake we did saw some Chinese tourist climbed Sakura tree. It is a reminder to us that we are tourist and we should always respect local custom and culture.
